Shipping Protection Policy
Upsify partners with Online Shipping Insurance Services, Inc. DBA InsureShip ("InsureShip") to provide this policy. InsureShip underwrites, administers, and enforces all shipping protection coverage and claims under this policy. Upsify facilitates the integration, premium collection, and claim submission on behalf of merchants and customers.
1. Overview
The Upsify Shipping Protection Policy provides coverage for loss, theft, or damage that may occur during the shipment of goods from the merchant to the customer. This policy is offered through Upsify, operated by KB Online Stores LLC, in partnership with InsureShip, a licensed insurance provider.
2. Coverage Limit
Upsify Shipping Protection covers shipments up to a maximum declared value of $7,500 USD per shipment. Coverage applies to packages shipped from the merchant's fulfillment location to the customer's delivery address. Coverage begins once the carrier scans and accepts the package and ends upon delivery to the designated address.
3. What Is Covered
- Packages lost in transit by the carrier.
- Packages stolen after carrier delivery confirmation, provided adequate proof is supplied.
- Packages damaged during transit (if properly packaged and protected).
- Partial loss or missing contents due to carrier mishandling.
- Shipments that never arrive at the final delivery address as confirmed by the carrier.
4. Exclusions
This policy does not cover:
- Shipments valued above $7,500 USD.
- Damage due to improper packaging or labeling.
- Fraudulent claims or intentional acts.
- Loss due to war, terrorism, or natural disasters.
- Perishable goods spoiled due to delay.
- Cash, currency, gift cards, or negotiable instruments.
- Unauthorized shipments or items prohibited by the carrier.
- Indirect or consequential losses beyond the declared value.
5. Filing a Claim
Claims must be submitted within 60 days of the shipment date. Merchants must initiate the claim through the Upsify dashboard, which securely forwards the request to InsureShip for review and determination. Each claim must include proof of shipment, proof of value, and supporting evidence of loss, theft, or damage.
6. Claim Processing
All claims are reviewed and processed by InsureShip. InsureShip may request additional information, photographs, or documentation to support the claim. Upon approval, reimbursement will be made to the merchant or customer according to the verified loss.
7. Premiums and Fees
The cost to merchants for Upsify Shipping Protection is a flat rate of 1.5% of the order's cart total for each order where shipping protection is applied, with a maximum coverage limit of $7,500 USD per parcel. Merchants may set their own retail price for the protection offered to customers.
8. Governing Law
This policy and any related claims or disputes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
9. Provider Information
This shipping protection is provided by KB Online Stores LLC (Upsify) in partnership with Online Shipping Insurance Services, Inc. DBA InsureShip. All insurance coverage and claims are enforced and managed by InsureShip in accordance with applicable insurance laws and regulations.
